The successful candidate will be able to translate ideas and concepts into action, analyse complex situations and engage others proactively in change and improvement. You will be responsible for strengthening the professional lives of staff, to improve the learning outcomes for each student within a Catholic faith community. More specifically, you will:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">focus on the synergy between equipping students with core academic skills as well as building their core values and personal qualities</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">empower staff, students and parents to actively engage with the school community through effective relationships</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">lead a high performing executive team, with transparency, integrity and high levels of self-awareness</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">provide an executive level of leadership in all aspects of the school’s operations, including resourcing and people management, financial management, marketing, fundraising, communications and governance</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">work collaboratively with teachers, students and families to grow student learning and development in thriving communities&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>This position commences in Term 1, 2022</strong></span></p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Four years professional qualification in education and relevant Master’s Degree</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Free from any impediment to full acceptance by the Church in lifestyle, witness and modelling</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A deep understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and demonstrated application of that knowledge in leading school improvement</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Understanding and experience of an evidence-based approach to school improvement</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated success in building high performing teams and e?ective relationships across the school community</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A proven record of building Catholic culture</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The capacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its teaching, and is aligned with the system’s strategic intent</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated knowledge and use of current and emerging technologies as enablers for contemporary learning and teaching</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The capacity to engage and influence the educational agenda at a system, national and international level.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Postgraduate study in Leadership, or commitment to commence postgraduate studies within four years of appointment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Evidence of performance at higher levels (Highly Accomplished or Lead) against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
