The School employs staff who are passionate and energetic in their profession and place student learning and wellbeing at the forefront of all they do.</p><p><b>Benefits of Working at CGS </b></p><p>CGS is an employer that promotes staff excellence and offers a range of additional benefits, including: </p><p>• A highly competitive salary and superannuation of 11.5% (for permanent staff) </p><p>• Attractive salary packaging arrangements </p><p>• Free barista-made coffee daily </p><p>• Delicious daily morning tea and discounted lunches </p><p>• Annual influenza vaccinations </p><p>• Employee assistance program </p><p>• School fee concessions upon completion of your probation period </p><p>• The staff awards program and generous professional development funding.</p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>We are seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative, and ambitious Head of Information Technology Education who will lead the school’s already outstanding IT Education programme to its next stage of evolution. </p><p>The successful applicant will have excellent subject expertise, significant leadership experience or potential, and a demonstrable record of delivering challenging, innovative and successful curricular and co-curricular learning programmes.</p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Department to continually update the programs and to keep them on the cutting-edge of technology. </p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>You are dedicated, passionate, and possess the following: </p><p>• A passion for the subject area, a keen interest in new developments in the subject area, and a broad network of contacts at the leading edge of subject development; </p><p>• Enthusiasm for sharing ideas and opportunities with students and staff and a facility for communicating the value of the subject area to others; </p><p>• A high degree of technical knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional learning; </p><p>• Relevant experience in educational and other environments and a willingness to draw on that experience to enrich the School’s offering in the subject area; </p><p>• An understanding of the Australian Curriculum for Digital Technologies and how it can be implemented; </p><p>• Substantial experience in programming and software development, including coding skills in a range of current languages, interfacing with current and novel devices; </p><p>• Ability to perform successfully with responsibility for the management and development of other staff; </p><p>• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to advise and liaise across all levels of an organisation and with parents and guardians; </p><p>• Capacity for strategic planning and thinking and well-developed analytical and research skills; </p><p>• Well-developed report writing and administrative skills, including a capacity to assist with the financial management of the department<b>.</b></p><p><b>  How to Apply </b></p><p>1.
