As a result of a number of recent appointments to Principalship and internal promotions we are looking to appoint a contemporary leader is who is strategic, collaborative and intentional with a demonstrated ambition for student growth and achievement for the position of Deputy Principal - Head of Campus, Berwick Campus commencing in 2022.

<p>St Francis Xavier College is a Catholic College with a 2021 enrolment of 3300 students which will continue to grow in 2022. </p><p>The College serves families from the parishes of Berwick, Koo Wee Rup, Maryknoll/Iona, Narre Warren and Pakenham under the governance of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL). </p><p>St Francis Xavier College is a Catholic community that is educative and supportive of the whole person. They strategically lead the campus with ambition for student achievement. </p><p>The Deputy Principal - Head of Campus will promote pastoral care that is an authentic expression of the shared vision and values of our Christian community and will promote the growth and development of students at the campus as young Christian women and men who are confident, competent, articulate and prepared to make a positive contribution to society. </p><p>Informed by the College’s Cultural Leadership Statement they will: </p><p>Be directly accountable to the Principal and is entrusted with the overall responsibility of strategically leading the day to day operations of the Campus </p><p>Be a member of the College Executive Team and, as such, assist and support the Principal in all aspects of College leadership </p><p>Together with the other members of the College Executive, the Deputy Principal is responsible for implementing the College Philosophy and ensuring that relationships within the College are consistent with the ethos of St Francis Xavier College </p><p>Be responsible for encouraging close and supportive connections between DOSCEL schools and, therefore, lead an expression of collegial practice that recognises the College&#39;s benefits in being outwardly focused. </p><p>About you </p><ul><li>In addition to the ability to excel at the key responsibilities of the position, the successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications: </li><li>Tertiary qualifications in Education including Master’s or postgraduate qualifications in Education, Leadership, Religious Education or Theology (or working towards attainment), with evidence of continuous formal learning in a relevant field </li><li>Accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic School </li><li>Proven capacity to provide high-level leadership in the following domains: </li></ul><p>                o Catholic Identity and Mission </p><p>                o Educational Leadership </p><p>                o Strategic Leadership </p><p>                o Administrative Leadership </p><p>                o Pastoral Leadership </p><ul><li>An awareness of and deep appreciation for a Catholic education for young people. </li><li>Extensive experience leading contemporary learning and teaching practices in a secondary school </li><li>Highly developed capacity to research, analyse and interpret data to improve learning and teaching practices and student achievement </li><li>Demonstrated success in leading and influencing change across a variety of stakeholders, including staff, students, families and community </li><li>Advanced written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills which establish productive relationships will staff, students, parents and the broader community </li><li>Strategic and forward-thinking approach to the position </li><li>Experience leading projects and managing resource</li></ul><p>This position is for a five-year tenure classified as a Deputy Principal A, Level 7.
