We are seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our Year 5 and 6 all girls precinct, Gioia House, located on the Secondary Campus of Santa Sabina College Strathfield.

<p>Santa Sabina College Strathfield is a P-12 Catholic School in the Dominican tradition educating students to achieve personal excellence, to act with justice and compassion, and to embrace the future with an optimistic global vision. Located across eight hectares in Strathfield in Sydney’s multicultural inner west and enrolling over 1230 students, we offer a comprehensive co-education on our Del Monte Campus for P-4 and for girls 5-12 on our Santa Sabina Campus. </p><p>Our Early Education Centre (Mary Bailey House) and Out of School Hours (OOSH) services are located in the grounds of the Primary (Del Monte) Campus. Mary Bailey House provides education and care for children aged from six weeks to five years and the College also operates three separate OOSH services for five-year-olds to Year 6 students. OOSH provides before school, after school and vacation care for children during school holiday periods.<br /></p><p>Gioia House is our Year 5 and 6 all girls precinct catering for 165 students in 2022. It is located within the Secondary Campus.Their is a two-year learning program tailored specifically for our girls and their needs at this time of their pre-adolescent development. Cocooned in their own area, their curriculum and pastoral programs are delivered by a specialist team who understand girls in this age group and are able to cater to their particular needs. With attractive and intellectually stimulating learning spaces the girls of Years 5 and 6 are able to enjoy a safe, secure learning area with breakout zones and areas for flexible learning as well as individual work zones. Our outdoor education campus, Tallong, is located on 97 hectares in the Southern Highlands</p><p><b>Commencement Date: 22 January 2022</b><br /></p><p><b>The Role</b> </p><p>The Assistant Head of Gioia House will, in conjunction with the Head of Gioia House, assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the overall wellbeing program in light of the College Mission for girls in years 5 and 6. They will foster a community where students are known and feel a sense of belonging. The Assistant Head of Gioia House reports directly to the Head of Gioia House and is also a member of the P-12 Pastoral and Wellbeing Team.
