The student population is rapidly growing and Hennessy has demonstrated it is able to adapt and cater for the needs and interests of all students in this period of expansion.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>An excellent opportunity exists for a <strong>Religious Education Leader</strong>&nbsp;to join our dynamic team at Hennessy Catholic College, Young.&nbsp; The Religious Education Co-ordinator is responsible for the Religious Education curriculum as well as the Studies of Religion curriculums.&nbsp;To be successful in this role, you will have a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and have the capacity to develop caring relationships with students, parents and staff.</p> <p><em>Please note this position is for an initial two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions. Two further extensions (each of four years) may be offered based on performance outcomes. The position will be underpinned by a permanent (ongoing) teaching position within Catholic Education.<br></em><br><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and promote the Catholic Identity of the College;</li> <li>Demonstrate active support of Catholic Education;</li> <li>Experience in teaching Stage 6 Studies of Religion;</li> <li>Be familiar with NESA procedures;</li> <li>Be an effective and innovative classroom teacher;</li> <li>Demonstrate a deep knowledge of Religious Education curriculum and Studies of Religion curriculums;</li> <li>As a member of the KLA Leaders team, have the ability to contribute to the development of contemporary pedagogy and assessment practices;</li> <li>Demonstrate leadership skills through strategic planning and capacity building of staff;</li> <li>Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, parents and community agencies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>To teach Religious Education in a Catholic school an employee must:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have completed 6 undergraduate subjects or 4 postgraduate subjects;</li> <li>Must be Catholic;</li> <li>Must have completed <em>Accreditation D – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school</em> or willingness to complete.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br></em><em><br></em><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p> <p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the <a href="https://secure.dc2.pageuppeople.com/apply/TransferRichTextFile.ashx?sData=UFUtVjMtU1XgELA_8wc941qeglaCaLeqlH3KXS-i--laofLahfKJoJyhbeAgYWz48L8Ic51eGhS9GYugdEeYhKgB-hP87o-CnCRWnzHs6FNH3ue35x6aegrhzQKyEHv-RibYWrBGot_JpzR73HCzusd45mpsyA%7e%7e">Position Description</a></p> <p>This position involves working with children.
