The College is seeking a passionate, highly skilled Business/ Social Sciences Teacher to join us in a newly created role, commencing Term 1, 2022.

This new role responds to the growing popularity of Social Sciences subjects.<br /></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br /></p><ul><li>Deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for students that develop deep understanding through exploring the ‘big ideas’ inherent in and across subject areas<br /></li><li>Build learning relationships through employing restorative practices</li><li>Display a commitment to continued professional growth through self-reflection and further learning</li></ul><p><b>Additional Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Deliver the Humanities curriculum in a dynamic way in the classroom, using initiative in bringing fresh and creative ideas to the curriculum<br /></li><li>Provide students with clear and fair assessment, including the provision of regular, meaningful feedback</li><li>Preparedness to engage with the College’s pedagogical initiatives within the College’s Curriculum Framework</li><li>Show initiative in the integration of digital technologies into the learning program</li><li>Uphold the Christian teachings of the College, encouraging students to serve others and explore Christ</li><li>Active participation in co-curricular activities, as well as fulfilment of other duty of care responsibilities as directed by the College</li></ul><p><b>Skills / Knowledge / Attributes</b></p><ul><li>Regularly practicing member of a Christian church<br /></li><li>Experience teaching Economics or Business Studies across Stage 6, will be viewed favourably</li><li>Experience with Project Based Learning, desirable</li><li>Work ethic reflecting a commitment to excellence in teaching and a passion for student learning</li><li>Demonstrated passion for child-centred learning, and proven ability to effectively engage students, together with excellent classroom management skills</li><li>Proven ability to effectively collaborate with other teachers, and work as part of a team</li><li>Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within strict deadlines</li></ul><p>To apply for this role, submit your application through our Careers Portal by <b>4.00pm Wednesday 27 October 2021</b>.</p><p><i>William Clarke College is a child safe workplace; all successful candidates will be subject to a Working with Children Check prior to commencement.</i></p><p><i>Under the Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Education and Care Workers) Order 2021, all successful candidates are required to provide evidence of double-dose vaccination or medical contraindication. </i></p>
