St Spyridon College is an independent, co-educational KM1 – 12 school, with an enrolment of approximately 800 students, based on two campuses in South East Sydney.

<p>We invite experienced and suitably qualified Literacy Support Teachers to apply for this permanent full-time position commencing Term One, 2022. </p><p>Remuneration for the position will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Independent Schools NSW Teachers Multi Enterprise Agreement 2017. </p><p>The successful candidate will: </p><p>• be a passionate, innovative and reflective practitioner who demonstrates care for the individual and inspires them to achieve even greater learning outcomes wherever they are along the learning continuum </p><p>• hold postgraduate qualification in Special Education or equivalent experience in Learning Support </p><p>• have extensive experience in working with children with additional needs </p><p>• have extensive knowledge of the NSW K – 6 English Curriculum and be able to design and deliver evidence – based approaches to learning that are known to have the most impact on improving student engagement and educational outcomes </p><p>• have extensive experience with MiniLit Sage and MultiLit </p><p>• demonstrate strong literacy skills </p><p>• be familiar with NCCD requirements and relevant legislation </p><p>• have strong interpersonal skills to work as part of a team of stakeholders including students, parents and other staff to consult, collaborate, plan, modify, monitor and review all plans to support students with additional needs </p><p>• possess strong organisational skills in record keeping, assessment and data tracking </p><p>Knowledge and experience with the Spalding Method would be an advantage or willingness to train. </p><p>The successful candidate will be expected to support the Greek Orthodox ethos of the College. </p><p>All applicants are required to complete a Working with Children Check clearance prior to employment at the College. </p><p>Employment will be subject to compliance with the Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Education and Care Workers) Order 2021. </p><p><br /></p>
