<p>St Ursula’s College is a leading day and boarding school for girls in years 7-12 situated in Toowoomba. The College is a vibrant, innovative and caring community with a deep understanding of girls. The College was established in 1931 and is part of the international community of Ursuline schools. St Ursula’s recognises the importance of transformational learning in supporting the endeavours of staff. </p><p>The Assistant Principal-Pastoral Care is a senior leadership position within the College and is entrusted with the responsibility of supporting the shared efforts of enacting the College’s vison and mission of a transformative Ursuline education. Working closely with the Principal, as part of the College’s Executive Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal-Pastoral Care will provide strategic leadership to those responsible for the delivery of pastoral care programs and support. The Assistant Principal-Pastoral Care will have a key responsibility for student leaders supporting them in the development of their leadership skills through the ASPIRE program. Excellent communication skills are a required to provide regular information for all stakeholders ensuring an understanding of all policies and procedures relating to the safety and care of students. The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications; Masters Degree in Education, Leadership, Research or Theology or willingness to undertake tertiary studies, and be accreditation to teach in Queensland or prepared to seek accreditation</p><p>The successful candidate will be experienced in or demonstrate the capacity to: </p><ul><li>articulate a vision for the pastoral care of young women in the context of a values-centric Catholic school linked to academic care </li><li>build positive relationships with all stakeholders </li><li>build staff and student teams and foster a culture of improvement </li><li>lead pastoral care staff to deliver high levels of care and promote student voice and agency </li><li>co-develop and lead the implementation the Merici CARE Model </li><li>communicate with confidence in writing and public speaking in a range of situations with all stakeholders </li></ul><p>St Ursula’s College is committed to the safety of all members of the College community.
