St Luke’s at Marsden Park is a next generation Catholic learning community establishing the ‘new normal’ for preschool to post school learning as part of an extended school day; 6:00am to 6:00pm. As connected and networked learners, teachers are required to nurture faith filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world. In a place where “Learning = Infinite Possibilities”, faith formation, social skills, enterprise skills, literacy and numeracy, are viewed as strong foundations for all. Teachers encourage students to take risks as self-directed learners within a flexible, stage-based curriculum.

<p dir="ltr">Teacher Role Requirements</p>
<p dir="ltr">At St Luke’s, teachers strategically work in teams across a stage to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning and are required to: </p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Support and assist the evangelising mission of Catholic education;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Work collaboratively with other teachers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students, especially with literacy and numeracy;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning;</p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle; </p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: circle">
<p dir="ltr">inquiry-based interdisciplinary learning (including STEM or PBL);</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: circle">
<p dir="ltr">creativity and critical thinking;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: circle">
<p dir="ltr">responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: circle">
<p dir="ltr">both consumption and production of technology.</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle; and,</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Know and apply NESA and Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements.</p>

<p dir="ltr">One A4 page cover letter outlining why you are suitable for the position; and</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">One page resume with three referees.</p>
