We are seeking an Assistant Principal to join our wonderful team in 2022 and contribute to the success of Marrara Christian College. The applicant will have a passion for education and leadership and be keen to be part of a team shaping a distinctively Christian approach to teaching and learning.

For more information on Marrara Christian College please visit <a href="https://www.mcc.nt.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">Our Campus Website</a>.</i><br /><br /><br /></p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>The central role of the Assistant Principal is to assist the Marrara Christian College Principal to facilitate the effective operation of the college for all students in accordance with the strategic plan of the school and under the direction of the Principal. </p><p>The Assistant Principal must champion the implementation of a quality Christian educational program and assist the Principal leadership team to achieve organisational goals and policies by managing activities and projects cost effectively and in accordance with the biblical principles of NT Christian Schools. </p><p><b>Some of the key areas of responsibility include: </b></p><p>• Strengthen the culture of professional growth at Marrara Christian College, where God is glorified and people matter. </p><p>• Articulate the school’s vision and direction for teaching and learning </p><p>• Support classroom teachers in behavioural management and student well-being, and advise principal of concerns; </p><p>• Assisting all staff in ensuring a biblical and restorative approach is consistently engaged when addressing school wide behaviour management and support, ensuring protocols for minor and moderate behaviour are consistently applied in a manner that is transformational and redemptive. </p><p>• Support the Principal in meeting with teaching staff regularly to set and monitor professional learning goals; </p><p>• Facilitate and encourage parent involvement in the operation of the school; </p><p>• Deputies for the Principal in his/her absence; </p><p>• Assist the Principal in supporting the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning across the school; </p><p>• Develop college marketing and communication material with the support of the Principal; </p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Selection criteria: </b></p><p>• A committed Christian actively involved in your local church </p><p>• Personal commitment to the teachings of the Christian faith and able to lead a school as a faith filled Christian community </p><p>• Proven experience in your field </p><p>• Have a relevant qualification </p><p>• Ability to nurture productive and positive relationships </p><p>• Ability to facilitate innovative contemporary learning and teaching </p><p>• A capacity to lead school improvement processes and enhance education within a professional learning community </p><p>• Proven ability to work cooperatively as an effective team member </p><p>• Effective management skills </p><p>• Capacity to lead and develop staff at individual and whole school level </p><p>• Be pastorally committed to the task of caring for and nurturing students </p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><b>In return: </b></p><p>• An opportunity to work in a Christian values-based organisation that truly cares about and values it’s employees </p><p>• An opportunity to develop into areas of leadership or eligibility for deployment to one of our other schools. </p><p>• Above awards and NES entitlements </p><p>• Salary Sacrifice </p><p>• Counselling cost share program </p><p>• Opportunity to study Masters in Christian Education through NICE (National Institute for Christian Education) and VET Training with Transforming Training </p><p>• Professional Development – Annual OTT Conference </p><p>• An opportunity to explore and discover the NT <br /><br /><br /></p><p><b>How to apply: </b></p><p><b>Download the employment application form and Statement of Faith from our jobs page <a href="https://jobs.ntchristianschools.com.au/" rel="nofollow">(click here)</a> address the key areas of responsibilities as set out in the job description and include it with your CV to human.resources&#64;ntchristianschools.com.au </b></p><p><b>PLEASE NOTE</b>: All employees at NT Christian Schools are required to hold a Working with Children Card (OCHRE Card), a police clearance valid within the last 12 months and a Drivers Licence.
