<p>A temporary part time position commencing 28 January 2022 until 20 December 2022.</p> <p>This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching within a Catholic school context and will require working collaboratively with teachers to support a class of students who have been diagnosed with Intellectual Disability.&nbsp; The successful applicant will be involved in working with individual students, groups of students or a whole class and fulfilling related administration duties.&nbsp;</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Experience working with students with diverse learning needs particularly students with intellectual needs.</li> <li>Familiarity with English and Mathematics Curriculum</li> <li>Ability to assist in the implementation of Personalised Plans for students.</li> <li>Commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>DESIREABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of interventions such as MiniLit and MacqLit.</li> <li>Knowledge of assistive technologies for students with disabilities.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul> <li>Well-developed written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality</li> <li>Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite of applications.</li> </ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualifications related to Special Needs Students and/or Certificate III in Education Support (Teacher’s Aide Special) or equivalent.</li> <li>Current First Aid Certificate.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.</p> <p>Applicants must be able to comply with any NSW&nbsp;Public&nbsp;Health&nbsp;Orders&nbsp;pertaining to Education that are in place as of the commencement date of this position.
