<p><b>Commencement Date: 2022</b></p><p><b>Applications emailed to: </b><a href="mailto:principal&#64;stbbankstown.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">principal&#64;stbbankstown.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p><b>Closing Date for application: Friday 22 October 2021</b><br /></p><p><i>Are you a self motivated and innovative Educator?</i></p><p><i>Can you provide instructional strategies to influence change in teaching practices?</i></p><p><i>Are you energised by creating experiences that challenge schools, students, teachers and parents to achieve and grow in ways they never thought possible?</i></p><p><b>The Instructional Specialist is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:</b></p><p>Strong teaching capability proven through meeting all aspects of the proficient teacher in the Australian Professional Standards and operating at the level of a highly accomplished/lead teacher in accordance with the NESA teaching standards (although they may not formally hold this accreditation).<br /></p><p>Demonstrating exemplary classroom teaching practice in their own classroom teaching (0.5FTE).</p><p>Setting standards, build teacher capacity (with extra focus on early career teachers) and support school wide improvement.</p><p>Support and demonstrate high impact teaching strategies (HITS) used by teachers to craft lessons that provide the right amount of support and challenge for every student.</p><p>Understand and implement high quality, evidence-based instruction that meets students&#39; needs within their zone of proximal learning development and has clear SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based) goals.</p><p>Coach, mentor and model excellent teaching practice to peer teachers within the school in <b>ENGLISH</b></p><p>Demonstrate High Impact Leadership Strategies (HILS) to guide and influence change in teacher practice and improve student outcomes.</p><p>Analyse data and trends within the school to identify areas for growth.</p><p>Strong capabilities to lead adult learning (including emotional intelligence).</p><p>Developing future Instructional Specialists.</p><p><b>Desireable Criteria:</b></p><p>Demonstrated leadership of English in current school.</p><p><b><br /></b></p>
