<p><b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li>Support students with organisation, attention, vision or communication difficulties by applying strategies identified as part of a student&#39;s personalised learning plan (PLP).</li><li>Support students with learning, emotional or behavioural challenges by applying strategies identified as part of a students’ individual plan.</li><li>Work closely with teachers of the deaf, speech pathologists and classroom teachers to ensure effective understanding of information.</li><li>Modify tasks as required to meet individual students’ needs.</li><li>Assist in the maintenance and use of assistive listening devices.</li></ul><p><b>Selection Criteria </b></p><p>Applicants will be required to demonstrate the appropriate professional standards as follows: </p><p>1. Ability to perform the role of an Educational Support - LSO in accordance with the statement of duties. </p><p>2. An understanding and/or experience in supporting deaf and hard of hearing students desirable. </p><p>3. An understanding and/or experience in supporting students with disabilities desirable. </p><p>4. Willingness to be flexible and an ability to work as a member of a team. </p><p>5. A demonstrated understanding of child safety and of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children. </p><p><br /></p>
