This unique opportunity incorporates the development and implementation of a work education and employment skills program in addition to a teaching role. You will work to support student strengths, interests and aspirations to ensure successful transition to post-school and adult life, such as in tertiary education or employment opportunities. The role involves the implementation of the program at Aspect Hunter School main campus in Thornton and will work closely with our high school classroom teachers and coordinators. You will be responsible for evaluating and documenting the project in order to ensure its ongoing success. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Implementing our evidence-informed autism-specific approach - the Aspect Comprehensive Approach [ACA], you’ll teach students the skills to be the very best they can be.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">To find out more about this role, click here to view the <a href="https://applynow.net.au/jobs/ASPECT1396/assets/16441123">Position Profile</a><a href="https://applynow.net.au/jobs/ASPECT1391/assets/16392815" target="_blank">.</a></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>About the School: </strong>Aspect Hunter&nbsp;School provides placement for&nbsp;approximately 200 students on the autism spectrum&nbsp;from Kindergarten to year 12 at its main school at Thornton, and across its satellite classes within the Catholic and Department of Education schools in Newcastle, Hunter and Port Macquarie regions.
