<p><b>The Role<br /></b>An opportunity to work in a unique teaching environment at the Macquarie University Special Education Centre (MUSEC School), contributing to the learning and development of students K-6.</p><p>The Special Education Teacher works closely with a Master Special Education Teacher to design and deliver educational programs for a class of up to 12, K-6 students with a disability. </p><p>This position contributes to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans in the areas of literacy, numeracy and behaviour management in alignment with identified student needs and to facilitate student learning outcomes. </p><p>Modelling evidence based special education teaching methodologies, this position provides verbal and written feedback to postgraduate students on professional placement to optimise the learning experience for the student. In addition, the successful applicant will have knowledge of positive teaching practices to support students&#39; engagement in lessons.</p><p><b>About Us<br /></b>Located in Macquarie School of Education, MUSEC School is a kindergarten to year 6 school for children with special learning needs and provides onsite practicum experience for postgraduate students in special education.</p><p>Within the Faculty of Arts, the School of Education aspires to be a leader in education across the life-span.
