St Vincent’s College is a Catholic Day and Boarding College for girls in Years 7 to 12. The College was founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1858 and is now under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. The College fosters creativity, discernment and leadership in the development of students to be courageous women of action.

<p>St Vincent’s College seeks to appoint a dedicated and dynamic leader to a new role to support students transitioning from primary to secondary education. We have always recognised the powerful impact of a positive early secondary experience for each of our students but in 2022 this will be more critical than ever because of the COVID disruptions experienced by our incoming Year 7 Class. We seek to appoint a collaborative and highly skilled educational leader who will ensure the development and provision of a positive culture and early secondary school experience for our students . </p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p>The Dean of Early Secondary will have oversight of the pastoral and academic care of Year 7 students and will lead age and stage appropriate interventions and opportunities to create a vibrant learning community in which students feel valued and connected. The role requires high level capacity to foster positive relationships with staff, students and parents and to nurture a safe and orderly environment that fosters individual achievement and student wellbeing. A commitment to innovation that sparks curiosity and adventure in students’ engagement with Stage 4 and beyond, and the passion to encourage a spirit of excellence and responsibility, are competencies essential in the role. </p><p><br /></p><p>The Dean of Early Secondary will be an integral member of the College Leadership Team and will report to the Deputy Principal, working closely with the Pastoral Dean of Students and the Director of Teaching and Learning. </p><p><br /></p><p>The successful candidate will have a record of success in leadership in secondary or middle school contexts.
