We are seeking an outstanding, customer focused leader, to manage our College Shop delivering a high-quality and professional service to our families. This is a permanent full-time role with a view to commence during Term 4, 2021.

We are a vibrant community that values passionate and committed staff who actively support the College in its purpose as a Christ-centred community, seeking to develop extraordinary learners with a passion to serve others.</p><p>As the <b>College Shop Manager</b>, you will be responsible for the daily management of the College Shop and the team, including all matters relating to College wide uniform, inventory management and the maintenance of the online selling software. </p><p><b>Purchasing </b><br /></p><ul><li>Placing orders for goods and services, together with sourcing suppliers;<br /></li><li>Follow up of suppliers for goods not received;</li><li>Receipting and inspection of goods received, together with credit management for refunds on undelivered items, or goods of unacceptable quality;</li><li>Assist and lead negotiations on supplier contracts;</li><li>Engagement and maintenance of relationships with regular suppliers;</li><li>Negotiation of supply prices for new stock and buy back prices for second hand uniforms.</li></ul><p><b>Inventory management and Online Shop Management</b></p><ul><li>Management of Vend stock management software along with Shopify for online selling;</li><li>Forecast uniform stock requirements with accuracy, including timely and efficient ordering - understanding the implications of enrolment numbers, parent purchasing trends, seasonable adjustments and student cohorts.</li></ul><p><b>Financial Management</b></p><ul><li>Bank and invoice processing in line with internal and best practice processes;<br /></li><li>An understanding and appreciation of our customers with regard to our uniform collateral and setting appropriate retail prices;</li><li>Managing the average costing of stock and corresponding retail pricing;</li><li>Proven working knowledge of business and accounting practices.</li></ul><p><b>External Stakeholder management</b></p><ul><li>Present new ideas to Executive Uniform Committee for consideration and review;<br /></li><li>Attend and actively participate in Uniform Committee discussions;</li><li>Assist Head of Marketing with consistency of uniform and photo shoots;</li><li>Working with Heads of Faculty to design, produce and distribute on field uniforms and other clothing as needed for all activities;</li><li>Liaising with Teaching staff and suppliers to produce an accurate and informative set of stationery lists;</li><li>Building relationships with the College Community.</li></ul><p><b>Skills / Knowledge / Attributes</b></p><ul><li>A regularly practising member of a Christian Church;<br /></li><li>Be a leader in uniform design, being aware of industry trends and changing environments;</li><li>Proven understanding of garment design, construction, clothing manufacturing and supply chain matters including an understanding of lead and lag time;</li><li>Ability to understand and appreciate the purpose and wearability of all items of uniform;</li><li>Ability to measure and determine appropriate sizings for student uniform fittings;</li><li>Proven ability to work collaboratively, as part of a team;</li><li>An attitude of service and focus on the customer;</li><li>Excellent time management skills, together with high attention to detail;</li><li>Confidence and proactiveness in maintaining a standard of dress that meets the needs of students aged 4 to 18 years and presents the College well in the broader community;</li><li>Being flexible to meet the changing demands of a growing and dynamic College; and</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in administration and organisation skills.</li></ul><p>To apply for this role, submit your Cover Letter and CV via our Careers Portal by the closing date. </p><p><i>William Clarke College is a child safe workplace; all successful candidates will be subject to a Working with Children Check prior to commencement.  </i><br /></p><p>Applications for this role close <b>Monday 18 October 2021</b>.<br /></p>
