St Mary's Catholic College, Woree is seeking applications for an Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning to join their college community in 2022.

<p><b>Position Details </b></p><ul><li>Full Time Fixed Term Leadership Position (5 Year Contract) </li><li>Full Time Permanent Substantive Teacher Position </li><li>Commencing: 17 January 2021 </li><li>Salary Range $120,516 to $136,927 gross per annum </li><li>Applications close: 5pm, Monday 11 October 2021 </li></ul><p><b>Purpose of the Role </b></p><p>The Assistant Principal Teaching &amp; Learning is a member of the Leadership Team and is therefore called upon to share in and give direction to the educational and faith life of the College. Recognising the Gospel context of a Catholic college, the Assistant Principal Teaching &amp; Learning works within a framework of shared ministry, focusing on collaborative participation and teamwork within the College community to enliven the aims of the College.</p><p>The purpose of the role, under the umbrella of continual school improvement and lifelong learning, is to enable student achievement and enhance teaching and learning at the College.</p><p>The Assistant Principal Teaching and Learning will work closely with Middle Leaders, the Inclusive Education Team and individual teachers to ensure that teaching practices are having the most positive impact on learning and students are achieving to their potential.</p><p>The Assistant Principal Teaching and Learning will also work closely with the Deputy Principal in ensuring teaching staff are engaged in professional growth, and with the Assistant Principals Junior and Senior School to ensure that there is a strong link between Pastoral Care and Teaching and Learning.</p><p>As a member of the College Leadership Team this position also has responsibility for contributing to the overall well-being and education of all students in the care of the College and for participating in leading, developing and maintaining St Mary’s mission, vision and values.</p><p><b>Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements </b></p><ul><li>Professional qualifications in Education and Religion, as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Position in Catholic Schools in Queensland</li><li>Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers</li><li>Successful teaching experience, including religious education</li><li>Leadership experience:<br />- Demonstrated ability in education leadership<br />- Demonstrated administrative ability<br />- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships</li><li>Willingness to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy, and sacramental life of the Church in the school community</li><li>Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, including knowledge of contemporary education issues at state and national levels</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills of a high order;</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the pastoral care of members of the school community;</li><li>Skills for building community, including facilitation, delegation and consultation;</li><li>Capacity to understand and implement Duty of Care and Workplace Health and Safety requirements</li><li>A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education</li><li>Current drivers’ licence</li><li>Promote Child Safety at all times</li></ul><p><b>How to Apply </b></p><p>Please download an application pack from our website <a href="https://www.cns.catholic.edu.au/employment/current-positions/leadership-positions/" rel="nofollow">https://www.cns.catholic.edu.au/employment/current-positions/leadership-positions/</a> </p><p><i>Catholic Education Cairns is an equal opportunity employer </i></p><p><i>Intending applicants must be fully committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation.</i></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
