As a coordinator of Mathematics, you will lead the Mathematics Expertise and Excellence Program and co-ordinate all associated practices and procedures designed to identify, support and extend the varied mathematical needs of learners at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Hurstville.

Through collaboration with parents and dedication to living our Catholic values, we are committed to developing independent thinkers and lifelong learners for a contemporary world.<div><br /></div><div>To be considered for this role, we seek a strong, contemporary leader of learning with the capacity to lead change and demonstrate contemporary pedagogy with a focus on improving student learning.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div><b> The applicant will demonstrate proven experience in: </b></div><ul><li>contributing to the life and mission of the Catholic Church, including being a practising Catholic who demonstrates the values of the Gospel into work;</li><li>contributing to a culture of inclusion and hospitality by providing and supporting the delivery of relevant opportunities to engage with parents/ caregivers to build and maintain effective partnerships;</li><li>supporting the creation of a contemporary, student-centric learning culture through the lens of contemporary Mathematics pedagogy; </li><li>motivating and working with others to initiate and foster evidence-based reflection, and future-focused improvement and innovation to achieve best practices in contemporary teaching and learning;</li><li>practicing excellence as a classroom teacher and the capacity to empower students to be independent and creative learners;</li><li>analysing and using data for future planning and to inform learning;</li><li>evaluating and seeking feedback to continually improve personal practice; </li><li>understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum;</li><li>integrating ICT effectively and creatively to provide authentic learning opportunities within a contemporary learning environment;</li><li>performing at higher levels (Highly Accomplished or Lead) against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</li></ul><p><b>You will also possess the following qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Religious Education qualifications according to the SACS Board Policy </li><li>Child protection screening compliance (WWCC)Registered to teach with NESA and Sydney Catholic Schools and a comprehensive understanding of the NESA requirements.</li></ul><div> </div>
