We are a&nbsp;learning community whose teachers strive for the “spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic development of all students”.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Assistant Leader of Learning Mathematics</strong>, Years 7-12, is a member of our Curriculum Forum responsible to the Leader of Learning Mathematics and the Assistant Principal Learning and Teaching for the leadership of their Faculty in accordance with College policies. They work closely with the Leader of Learning Mathematics to lead and supervise Faculty staff, curriculum development and implementation, and Faculty based initiatives. They ensure that the Faculty focus on learning is continuous, compliant with current curriculum requirements and relative to the needs of students. The Assistant Leader of Learning Mathematics holds delegated responsibility for the leadership, development and administration of excellence in Mathematics curriculum and programs.<br><strong><br>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>A commitment to promoting and articulating the Catholic identity of the College through all relevant programs and practices and in communication with staff, students and parents.</li> <li>Demonstrated evidence of effective team-work and collaboration.</li> <li>Appropriate qualifications and a commitment to engage in relevant ongoing Professional learning.</li> <li>Successful experience in educational leadership.</li> <li>A strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student learning and effective pedagogical practices.</li> <li>The capacity to lead a team of people and to bring about effective change.</li> <li>A high level of organisational and communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.</em><br><br><em>Please note that this position is for an initial two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions.
