Marist College is seeking an energetic and highly skilled teacher of Mathematics. The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Year 7 – 12, and would be working with a highly dedicated team of educators within the Mathematics Department. This is an ongoing, full-time (FTE 0.7 part-time considered) position commencing January 2022.

<p>Marist College is a Congregational Catholic school for boys (Year 4-12) operating as part of ‘Marist Schools Australia’. It has an enrolment of approximately 1750 students, and enjoys an excellent reputation for its pastoral care of students, academic studies, cultural and sport pursuits.</p><p>The College has a vacancy for an energetic and highly skilled teacher of Mathematics. The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Year 7 – 12, and would be working with a highly dedicated team of educators within the Mathematics Department. This is an ongoing, full-time position commencing January 2022, although the College would consider part-time of at least 0.7 FTE. The ability to teach Specialist Mathematics would be advantageous.</p><p> </p><p>Staff at Marist College Canberra are responsible for the promotion of an atmosphere of charity and justice within the College, as is expected in a Catholic community and to help ensure the provision of the Catholic perspective in the teaching and learning process and in all the activities of the College. </p><p>All teachers have a responsibility to develop and maintain an understanding of Catholic beliefs and those aspects of Catholic teaching that relate to their subject areas. Through their own example they provide Christian leadership for all members of the school community. </p><p>Only a person supportive of Catholic Education philosophy may be a teacher in a Catholic School.
