It&#39;s the kind of work that invigorates children&#39;s learning while unlocking your own potential. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>St Leo’s Catholic College is seeking to appoint an energetic <b>English Teacher</b> to teach Years 7 to 12. The Teacher of English will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.  </p><p>This is a permanent full-time position to commence in Term 4 of 2021. </p><p>We are looking for highly skilled and passionate teacher to inspire, motivate and engage students. Working collaboratively with teachers at the school you will be responsible for implementing innovative and evidence informed practices that improve outcomes for all. Being prepared to grow and learn is an essential part of this role as we aim to ensure success for all our students. </p><p><b>Specific Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Have the ability to inspire students to learn about the power, value and art of the English language for communication, learning and enjoyment</li><li>Be a highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner, committed to the ethos of the Catholic School</li><li>Be suitably qualified to teach English with the ability to teach up to Year 12 English</li><li>Support and implement the goals and values of Catholic education and the strategic priorities of the College</li><li>Embed innovative pedagogical practices and ability to integrate digital leveraging into the classroom practice with experience teaching Stages 4, 5 and 6 English courses</li><li>Promote and understand the importance of assessment practice, data analysis and feedback to enhance learning</li><li>Be able to differentiate the curriculum to meet student learning needs across the spectrum of student ability</li><li>Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse range of all learners through varied teaching strategies and sound pedagogical practices</li><li>Ability to understand the individual needs of students to maximise learning opportunities</li><li>Effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices</li><li>HSC marking experience is advantageous</li><li>Results/data driven</li><li>Be prepared with belief, enthusiasm and passion as we strive for <i>Towards 2025</i> (Strategic Plan)</li><li>Highly experienced and accomplished educator and able to provide proactive, high quality leadership and management</li></ul><p><b>The Rewards </b></p><p>Be part of a passionate team committed to delivering authentic Catholic education with care and compassion.
