Seeking a suitably qualified and highly experienced College Psychologist/Counsellor to join the College for 2022 school year

<p>Catholic Regional College North Keilor, a Year 7 – 10 secondary college is seeking a suitably qualified and highly experienced College Psychologist/Counsellor to join the College for the 2022 school year. The start date however is flexible and can be negotiated to commence during term 4 of 2021. </p><p>This is a maternity replacement position for the 2022 school year. </p><p><b>About the position: </b></p><p>The School Psychologist provides confidential individual and group counselling intervention to students, and also works proactively with the student body, teachers and parents on complex matters relating to educational, social, emotional and mental health awareness. The School Psychologist provides advice and assistance to teaching staff in developing strategies for working with students to promote and ensure student support and wellbeing. In addition, the School Psychologist will implement solutions focused support programs to enable young people to thrive and excel. The school psychologist will report directly to the Deputy Principal Wellbeing and will work collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with all members of College staff in particular the Wellbeing team. </p><p><b>To be successful, you will: </b></p><ul><li>Hold a relevant qualification preferably with education &amp; developmental focus </li><li>You have extensive experience working with children and young adults </li><li>Demonstrate a holistic well-being view and experience working with children and their families in a mental health, clinical or educational setting </li><li>Be able to manage the legal, ethical and organisational requirements of clinical, counselling role in an educational setting </li><li>Demonstrate ability to provide written and verbal consultation, advice and support to stakeholders </li><li>Be an approachable team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and a friendly manner </li><li>Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and be self-motivated </li></ul><p><b>Why join CRC North Keilor? </b></p><p>We take pride in being an inclusive, faith community that welcomes and values all the students, families and staff at our College.
