The Leader of Learning and Innovation will both model and promote continually improving and innovative professional practice at the College, in addition to a negotiated teaching load.</p><p>Using relevant data, the Leader of Learning and Innovation will collaborate and lead teachers in implementing improved teaching practices and relevant innovation. The successful applicant will work closely with teachers across the College on implementing annual improvement goals and other innovative strategies. This will include the provision and development of differentiated learning for students.</p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Role: </b></p><ul><li>The Leader of Learning and Innovation will be located primarily at the Regents Park campus and will have responsibility for the leadership and continuing development of:</li><li>Data informed improvement of learning and innovation</li><li>Modelling and ensuring exemplary practice, collaborative work, classroom observations and team teaching to promote targeted teaching, differentiation and learning are embedded across the curriculum</li><li>Liaison with primary schools, testing and placement of Year 7.</li><li>Working with the LOL Curriculum to support and deliver NAPLAN &amp; PAT test across the College</li><li>Develop and implement the Professional Learning plan to support AIP goals across the College</li><li>Working in partnership with the Leader of Learning and Curriculum, the successful candidate, will ensure the alignment of curriculum, effective pedagogy and assessment to improve student learning outcomes.</li><li>Newman and Extension programs, and continuing innovation to extend learning for all students.</li><li>Specific AIP directions and projects</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrable and sustained success as a classroom teacher</li><li>Proven successful experience in developing and leading a team in a middle leadership position</li><li>A flexible, innovative and professional approach to school improvement initiatives</li><li>Ability and demonstrated experience in managing projects and teams.</li><li>Credibility as an exemplary teacher, accompanied by strong interpersonal skills that facilitate working with all staff.</li><li>Deep understanding and application of contemporary research on data supported instructional approaches to teaching and learning </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Practicing Catholic</li><li>Post graduate qualification/s </li><li>Experience in teaching diverse year and ability groups</li><li>Proven skills in the use of the Cloudshare learning management system (Drive, Sites, Teacher Dashboard) and Compass Database. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Accountability:</b></p><p>This position is directly accountable to the Principal</p>
