The FTE: 0.6 is made up as follows: FTE: 0.4 temporary until 20/12/22 FTE: 0.2 Permanent All Saints’ College is a coeducational year 7-12 Catholic School which is part of the Catholic Schools Office, Maitland Newcastle Diocese. Approximately 1500 students and 200 staff spread across 2 campuses, we are the largest school in our diocese and one of the largest Catholic Schools in the state. St Peter’s Campus caters for our year 7-10 students, and St Mary’s Campus caters for our senior students in years 11 and 12. We are a community committed to a safe and supportive environment nurturing the formation of the whole person celebrating continual growth and success. <p> The role of Teacher Librarian is to ensure that learning in the library is contemporary, rich in thinking and technology. The Teacher Librarian will support classroom teachers in modelling contemporary teaching to ensure that curriculum is delivered more effectively for the benefit of students. Within a contemporary learning environment, the role has three key dimensions: <br>• Providing engaging learning experiences for students <br>• Modelling and driving contemporary teaching and learning <br>• Information and resource management The Teacher Librarian works in collaboration with the school’s leadership team and with the CSO Digital Innovation and Learning team to act as a catalyst for change and build teacher capacity to improve student outcomes. Teacher Librarians are recognised as highly effective, skilled classroom practitioners with expertise in inquiry learning and information processing, who routinely work independently and collaboratively to improve their own practice and the practice of colleagues. They are knowledgeable and active members of the school community. Performance management and development processes for the role of Teacher Librarian will be established through the Principal. These will include feedback mechanisms from Principal and relevant school staff. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check, retain a valid NSW Working with Children Check and ensure compliance with our safeguarding policies, the Diocesan Safeguarding Commitment Statement and the Codes of Conduct. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools <br>• Commitment to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school <br>• The applicant has completed or will complete (within four years of appointment) a postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Management or Teacher Librarianship <br>• The applicant should have a four-year trained teacher classification and preferably with at least five years successful teaching experience <br>• Demonstration of successful teaching and behaviour management strategies with the ability to design contemporary and innovative learning opportunities in collaboration with teachers <br>• Demonstrated willingness in learning to deepen student knowledge of curriculum content and information literacy in all KLAs as relevant <br>• Ability to manage a contemporary library space, and source an engaging and relevant physical and virtual collection <br>• Ability to plan and evaluate collaboratively with teachers and share best practice regarding innovative and emerging technologies and information literacy through the KLAs <br>• Possess excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively and to oversee library personnel, volunteers and external providers as delegated by the Principal <br>• Ability to effectively utilise data to assess and provide feedback and optimise educational outcomes <br>• The successful applicant will need to comply with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy Category B (Accreditation to Teach) The applicant must provide evidence of the following: ? Four-year trained teacher classification ? NESA Teacher Accreditation ? Working with Children Clearance number ?
