Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p><strong>Leader of Learning: full time, permanent position</strong></p> <p><strong><u>The College</u></strong></p> <p>With campuses in Emu Plains and Mount Druitt, CathWest Innovation College serves the needs of young people who desire to drive their own learning in pursuit of their interests, strengths and passions. Student learning is project and problem based, empowering them to master skills and capabilities, be innovative, entrepreneurial, and enterprising, and make a meaningful difference for themselves and others in the world. They are supported through partnering with learning mentors within the college and industry mentors beyond the college. Successful graduates will leave the college with multiple credentials, confident and capable to embrace an ever-changing world.</p> <p><strong><u>The position</u></strong></p> <p>Applicants should be passionate educators, collegial, collaborative, flexible and prepared to lead in an innovative teaching and learning environment.</p> <p>This leadership role encompasses the following key accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Leading cross-curricular collaboration to provide personalised, student driven, innovative learning experiences for students</li> <li>Building the capacity of teachers through collaborative professional learning and practice analysis: co-planning, feedback, and mentoring</li> <li>Drawing on contemporary research and analysis of data to support evidence-based practice</li> <li>In partnership with the Assistant Principal Learning Innovation, developing each teacher's capacity in mapping student learning to training and accreditation authorities and other curricula and credentials</li> <li>Tracking, reporting, and meeting compliance requirements of assigned areas of responsibility and components of registration and accreditation in accordance with school, system and legislative requirements</li> <li>Embracing the Catholic ethos of the college, in particular, its Ignatian Framework</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Desirable criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in teaching and leading Stage 5 &amp; 6 STEM, Mathematics and/or Science</li> <li>Capacity to teach a VET in Schools framework, or willingness to train in VET.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>For further information, contact Mrs Samantha Boreham, Assistant Principal Learning Innovation, Mobile: 0447238552; Email: sboreham@parra.catholic.edu.au</p> <p><strong><u><span style="text-decoration: none">&nbsp;</span></u></strong></p> <p><strong><u>Application Requirements</u></strong></p> <p>By Friday October 8, formally express your interest in the position through the provision of:</p> <ul> <li>A covering letter outlining your suitability for the position, addressing the selection criteria</li> <li>A resume including three referees</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
