Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more then 19,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p dir="ltr">The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position as a School Administration Support Officer, with Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong commencing January 2022.</p> <p dir="ltr">POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p dir="ltr">This role supports the work of administration staff in our schools. Working as part of the Leadership and Professional Growth Team within Human Resource Services, this role supports schools in achieving the vision and mission of the diocese, ensuring growth in faith and improvement in learning for all students. This role is designed to support the work of the administrative staff in schools across the diocese.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <p dir="ltr">The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to support the work of Senior School Support Officers (SSSOs) through: <ul> <li dir="ltr">the provision of in-school support in the functioning of the administrative services.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">the discernment and organisation of Professional Learning opportunities.</li> <li dir="ltr">organisation of Network Meetings.</li> <li dir="ltr">accessing CEDoW cross-team support for the work of SSSOs.</li> </ul> </li> <li dir="ltr">Experience in diocesan accounting processes, data systems and financial management procedures</li> <li dir="ltr">Knowledge of and experience in managing and maintaining the administration of system accountabilities and legislative requirements.</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Effective&nbsp; organisational&nbsp; skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li dir="ltr">Strong service orientation.</li> <li dir="ltr">Significant competence in applicable school administration technologies.</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrated positive attitude to innovation and change.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant discipline, or a commitment to acquiring.</li> <li dir="ltr">A minimum of five years experience in school administration roles.</li> </ul> <p>SALARY</p> <p>$88,100 per annum + Superannuation.</p> <p dir="ltr">POSITION APPLICATION</p> <p dir="ltr">To confidentially discuss your application, contact Neil McCann, Team Leader Learning and Professional Growth Team, on 0409379955</p> <p dir="ltr">Applicants are to complete an online application and to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 5 October 2021 at 5pm</strong></p>
