The role is to complete and control expenses by receiving payments, including processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Administration and working closely with the Finance Team as a whole. </p><p>Your key tasks &amp; responsibilities will include the following areas; </p><ul><li>Ensure the continued smooth and accurate operation of the Accounts Payable function in order to maintain the School’s credit standing and reputation for reliable payment of credit obligations</li><li>Ensure external and internal queries regarding payments, invoices and monthly faculty budget statements are satisfied in a timely and courteous manner. Where appropriate, bring queries and concerns to the attention of the Head of Finance and Administration or Business Manager</li><li>Ensure the timely and accurate payment of invoices by BPay or direct bank credit within the cash flow requirements of the School and Creditors’ trading terms </li><li>Liaise with staff to ensure the completion of a correct document trail, receipt of goods, and correct authorisation, prior to payment of a creditor </li><li>Perform reconciliations of supplier invoices with statements to avoid double payment and to check the accuracy of supplier payment details </li><li>Maintain complete audit trail details and audit reports in relation to direct credit payment batches </li><li>Reconcile School credit cards and cash cards with card holders and process payments as required </li><li>As required perform reconciliations of ledger accounts to verify payments and ensure correct allocation of payments to facilitate accurate financial reporting </li><li>Assist staff with the procurement of goods and services</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>About you </b></p><p>To be successful in this position, not only is it essential that you have the skills and expertise, you must also have the willingness to immerse yourself within the school community and truly become part of the team. </p><p>In addition, you will have the following skill set; </p><ul><li>Accounting Degree or equivalent or working towards qualifications. </li><li>Exceptional analytical accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines </li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence outcomes. </li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills </li><li>The ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision </li><li>Able to work and contribute in a team environment </li><li>High level of competency in Microsoft Suite, particularly excel </li><li>Proven experience in accounts payable </li><li>Demonstrated experience in establishing and fostering relationships </li><li>Experience working in a complex, highly regulated environment</li></ul><p>A current National Criminal Record Check and Working with Children&#39;s Check (employee) are essential requirements for this role.
