<p><i>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Established in 1875 by the Sisters of Mercy, Monte has a proud tradition of commitment to the Catholic faith, academic achievement and cultural endeavour. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</i></p><p><b>COLLEGE COUNSELLOR/PSYCHOLOGIST (Full time, ongoing)</b></p><p>The College is seeking the services of an experienced, motivated Psychologist/College Counsellor to join the College&#39;s Pastoral Care team. The position is full time for 44 weeks per year which includes term time plus 6 weeks.</p><p>Responsibilities include individual and group counselling and working with teachers and parents to advise on emotional, behavioural and social needs of students. This position also has responsibility for guiding families to external services when required and close collaboration with key members of staff at the school.</p><p>The successful applicant will be a qualified psychologist experienced in working with young people and who understands the complexities of adolescent development and difficulties that may be experienced by students at various stages.</p><p>Appropriate tertiary qualifications are required. Applicants must be registered with AHPRA and be eligible for membership of the APS.</p><p>As a school community, Monte places a strong emphasis on collegiality and professional development.
