John the Baptist Catholic Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and collaborative leader who will bring the school’s learning vision to life. In 2022 the focus of the role will be in the area of Numeracy. The school’s strategic plan is focused on the development of skills, knowledge and practices to enhance student Numeracy and this role is an opportunity to lead and support staff in the development of pedagogy, programs and practices to enhance student achievement.

<p><br /></p><p>The school is currently in its 3rd year of implementation of the ME and E project. The successful applicant will be entrusted to continue delivering this program in 2022. </p><p>The role includes: </p><ul><li>Implementing exemplary classroom practice in Mathematical Excellence &amp; Expertise (MEE) </li><li>Supporting classroom pedagogy, professional learning and student achievement </li><li>Collecting, analysing and responding to school achievement data (including PAT &amp; NAPLAN) </li><li>A comprehensive understanding of applying &amp; responding to Clinical Interview data </li><li>Developing appropriate schoolwide authentic assessment strategies </li><li>Leading &amp; presenting Professional Learning opportunities for staff </li><li>Supporting programs, planning and pedagogical practices in the classroom </li><li>Instructional Coaching of MEE Pedagogy, including the use of an effective feedback cycle </li><li>Undertaking co-ordinator leadership and administrative responsibilities </li><li>Release for this co-ordinator position is 4 days per week with 1 day per week classroom teaching responsibilities</li></ul><p>   The successful applicant must have:</p><ul><li>Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching </li><li>Practising Catholic</li><li>MEE Level at Highly Accomplished or Lead (with intention to complete Lead course in 2022) </li><li>NESA Teacher Accreditation Number </li><li>Evidence of Working with Children verification </li><li>SALT Compliance Certificates (if available) </li><li>Knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School </li><li>Religious Education qualification according to SACS Board Policy </li></ul><p> </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
