<p>The Opportunity </p><p>Reporting to the Head of Department/Curriculum Coordinator, we invite applicants who will contribute to our Christian ethos to teach one or more of the following subject areas and improve student learning within those subject areas. Application of specialist skills and abilities in QCAA senior subject syllabi, middle schooling pedagogies, holistic student care and support of College co-curricular opportunities, are associated to this opportunity.</p><p>Position type: Two Permanent Full-time positions<br /></p><p>Anticipated Commencement Date: Friday 14 January 2022 </p><p>Subject/Focus areas: </p><p>- Academic Enrichment </p><p>- Business and Legal Studies </p><p>- Christian Studies / Religion &amp; Ethics / Philosophy &amp; Reason </p><p>- Health &amp; Physical Education </p><p>- Japanese </p><p>About You </p><p>This position would suit someone with a commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have: </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to teach Year 11 and 12 QCAA subject area syllabus </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to teach Year 7 – 10 subjects </p><p>• Accredited teacher with Lutheran Education Australia, highly desirable </p><p>• Current eligibility to teach in Queensland and work in Australia </p><p>• Accredited teacher with Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), desirable </p><p>• Preference for experienced teachers with gifted and talented training, highly desirable </p><p>• Ability to teach in a variety of subject areas could be an advantage </p><p>• Willingness to assist with GEL – Grow, Empower, Learn (student holistic care program), GEL lessons, Chapel supervision, Inter-School sporting teams or recreational activities </p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary curriculum issues in education </p><p>• Awareness of National curriculum imperatives. </p><p>About Us </p><p>Grace Lutheran College is a large two campus, co-educational secondary school with a strong history of excellent education.
