<p>St Francis Xavier College is a Catholic College with a 2020 enrolment of 3300 students which will continue to grow in 2022. </p><p>The College serves families from the parishes of Berwick, Koo Wee Rup, Maryknoll/Iona, Narre Warren and Pakenham under the governance of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL). </p><p>St Francis Xavier College is a Catholic community that is educative and supportive of the whole person. We are proud to have a diverse team of staff ranging from graduates to those well experienced. </p><p>The College Learning Program is delivered through its Game Plan for fostering student achievement which is comprised of four plays: </p><ul><li>Catholic Identity - orientating towards Christ </li><li>Differentiation - enabling growth for all </li><li>Positive Learning Partnerships - building stronger relationships </li><li>Wellbeing for Learning - teaching the skills of wellbeing </li></ul><p>As a result of a Vice Principals appointment to Principalship at another Catholic secondary school, we are inviting suitably qualified strategic education leaders who aspire for Principalship to apply for the exciting position of Deputy Principal - Learning and Growth commencing in 2022. </p><p><b>About the Position </b></p><p>The Deputy Principal – Learning and Growth is directly accountable to the Principal and is entrusted with the overall responsibility of strategically leading the College’s learning program for growth in student achievement. </p><p>Informed by the College’s Cultural Leadership Statement they will: </p><p>be directly accountable to the Principal and is entrusted with the overall responsibility of strategically leading the College’s learning program for growth in student achievement </p><p>ensure that the learning program supports authentic student wellbeing to enable them opportunities to fully participate in the life of the College and our shared vision for Christian people, thereby enhancing their capacity to become people for the world. </p><p>be a member of the College Executive Team and, as such, assist and support the Principal in all aspects of College leadership. </p><p>together with the other members of the College Executive, the Deputy Principal is responsible for implementing the College Philosophy and ensuring that relationships within the College are consistent with the ethos of St Francis Xavier College </p><p>Please refer to the position description for additional information about the position. </p><p><b>About you </b></p><p>In addition to the ability to excel at the key responsibilities of the position, the successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications: </p><p>Tertiary qualifications in Education including Master’s or postgraduate qualifications in Education, Leadership, Religious Education or Theology (or working towards attainment), with evidence of continuous formal learning in a relevant field </p><p>Accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic School </p><p>Proven capacity to provide high-level leadership in the following domains: </p><p>o Catholic Identity and Mission </p><p>o Educational Leadership </p><p>o Strategic Leadership </p><p>o Administrative Leadership </p><p>o Pastoral Leadership </p><p>An awareness of and deep appreciation for a Catholic education for young people. </p><p>Extensive experience leading contemporary learning and teaching practices in a secondary school </p><p>Highly developed capacity to research, analyse and interpret data to improve learning and teaching practices and student achievement </p><p>Demonstrated success in leading and influencing change across a variety of stakeholders, including staff, students, families and community </p><p>Advanced written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills which establishes productive relationships will staff, students, parents and the broader community </p><p>Strategic and forward-thinking approach to the position </p><p>Experience leading projects and managing resources </p><p>This position is for a five-year tenure of Deputy Principal classified as a Deputy Principal A, Level 7.
