Immanuel College is seeking a dynamic and innovative Learning and Teaching Leader to lead and manage curriculum in the Design & Technology area.

<p>Immanuel College is a co-educational, Lutheran day and boarding school offering education from Years 7 to 12. The College strives to provide an education in a Christian context where the whole person can grow and develop. </p><p>The Learning and Teaching Leader (LTL) is accountable for the provision of specialist curriculum advice and leadership of Design and Technology. This includes responsibility for the development, delivery, promotion and quality of learning and teaching in the Design and Technology area within the College. </p><p>Immanuel’s teaching and learning programs focus on three core areas - Excellence in Academics, Innovative Teaching and Learning, and a Personalised Approach. The learning principles - Creating, Connecting, Thinking, Understanding - define an approach to teaching and learning that is designed to enable students to flourish in a complex and rapidly changing environment. </p><p>All staff at Immanuel College are required to promote and support a positive organisational culture by maintaining effective working relationships and communicating effectively with students, parents, colleagues and visitors. </p><p>The Learning and Teaching Leader (LTL) is accountable to the allocated Head of School and is required to work collaboratively with the Director of Teaching and Learning, other LTLs, Year Level Coordinators and teachers across Senior and Middle Schools to deliver the required educational outcomes for the students. </p><p>The role is largely autonomous regarding delivery and classroom practice under the framework provided by the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP), SACE, ACARA and College guidelines. Teachers must respond to student needs and collaborate with other staff to ensure the safety, wellbeing and academic achievement of each student. </p><p>All staff will abide by College policy and procedure and perform all duties requested by the leadership team. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p>The successful applicant will have or be able to demonstrate: </p><ul><li>appreciation of, and commitment to, the Christian values and ethos of the College </li><li>highly developed leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead and work with a team to develop, implement and monitor curriculum, initiate and manage change, and provide direction on and feedback about the achievement of goals </li><li>success in the effective use and application of technology in teaching and learning </li><li>commitment to achieving excellence in education and passion for the development of an educational approach that meets the needs of the college and its students </li><li>success in modelling and promoting outstanding teaching practice in Design and Technology </li><li>comprehensive knowledge of content and pedagogy which improves learning outcomes for secondary students in both Middle and Senior schools </li></ul><p><br /></p>
