<p>Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) operates almost 300 Catholic primary, secondary and special schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, and provides a range of services to a further 41 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese with different governance arrangements.</p> <p>More than 550 staff work at the MACS head office in East Melbourne and four regional offices. These staff oversee and support Catholic schools in the Archdiocese. The work of these staff encompasses areas as diverse as Curriculum, Religious Education, Finance, Information and Communications Technology, Marketing and Communications, Leadership, Student Wellbeing, Legal, Planning and Industrial Relations. MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong><br> <br> Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for this position of Regional Leadership Consultant, Primary (Southern Region). Commencing in Term 1, 2022, the successful applicant will work closely with the Regional General Manager and be responsible for providing support and advice to principals, parish priests, congregational leaders and canonical administrators of Catholic schools in the Southern Region to ensure alignment of efforts to deliver continuous school improvement. The Regional Leadership Consultant, Primary will assist in building leadership capacity in schools, promote the enhancement of principal wellbeing, and act as a resource for schools in delivering strategic initiatives.<br> <br> The successful applicant will be entitled to four weeks' annual leave to be taken as a block from the commencement of the Christmas school holiday period (including the period between Christmas and New Year) plus up to an additional four weeks' Miscellaneous Paid Leave (MPL) to be taken during school holidays on a standby basis and subject to recall where deemed critical due to operational requirements of the regions. You will also have the option to take one week of MPL at any time of the year, negating the requirement for 'standby' when accessing MPL for that week.<br> <br> The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of current VIT certification, or alternatively will be subject to a Working with Children Check and a National Police Record Check<em>.</em><br> <br> Applicants must hold full unrestricted working rights for Australia to be considered for this role.<br> <br> <strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong><br> <br>Please refer to the <a href="https://cem.elmotalent.com.au/uploads/cem/files/PD_RLCPrimary_SRO.pdf">position description</a> for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.
