<p>The Headmaster is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educator to this full-time or 0.8FTE permanent position. The successful candidate will join the highly professional, dynamic and industrious Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. A willingness to teach across Stage 2 to Stage 6 will be a distinct advantage. Early childhood Music educators are also encouraged to apply.</p><p>The staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of well-resourced facilities, an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment) and a supportive Christian teaching environment.</p><p>Candidates for this role will be required to demonstrate:<br />• a passion for both teaching and performing and/or composing music;<br />• a deep knowledge of the music syllabus documents across the Stages;<br />• a desire to engage with the provision and oversight of music in Chapels and Worship Services;<br />• an understanding of and commitment to student wellbeing; <br />• well-developed written, oral and organisational skills;<br />• an innovative approach to teaching and learning;<br />• a comprehensive understanding of classroom differentiation; <br />• a commitment to detailed and timely feedback to students; and,<br />• a deep understanding of how students think and learn.</p><p>The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate the innovative use of ICT in teaching and learning, proficiency in writing teaching programmes, and understanding best practices in student assessment and feedback.
