Our teaching programs develop in our students the ability to communicate, collaborate, create, and think critically, and help them to develop a lifelong love of learning.</p> <p dir="ltr"><br><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">We are currently seeking a committed and driven Assistant Principal&nbsp; to share in the leadership of the Catholic school community by supporting the principal and leadership team commencing in Term 1 2022. The focus of your role will be to support the continued delivery of high quality contemporary learning and teaching within the school, and to deliver strong academic outcomes within the community that we serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view.</p> <p dir="ltr">This rewarding Senior School Leadership opportunity serves as an instrumental support to the Principal in all areas including Leading Pedagogy, Catholic Culture, Leading Self &amp; Others and Stewardship. More specifically, you will:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">focus on the synergy between equipping students with core academic skills as well as building their core values and personal qualities</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">empower staff, students and parents to actively engage with the school community through effective relationships</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be an active and leading part of a high performing Senior Leadership team, with transparency, integrity and high levels of self-awareness</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">working collaboratively with teachers, students and families to grow student learning and development in thriving communities&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Selection Criteria (Response Required in application)</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Free from any impediment to full acceptance by the Church in lifestyle, witness and modelling</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A demonstrated record of leading processes to improve student performance in Catholic school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The capacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its teaching and is aligned with the system strategic intent</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A demonstrated knowledge and use of current and emerging technologies as enablers for contemporary learning and teaching</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A minimum of four years professional qualification in education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Substantial currency in Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of Religious Education curriculum</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Attainment of a relevant Masters qualification or commitment to complete within four years of appointment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience in leading contemporary learning theory and practice within the school</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Commitment to team and to building positive relationships.</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Postgraduate study in Leadership, or commitment to commence postgraduate studies within four years of appointment</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We are part of Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) a system of schools committed to responding to the needs of students in a world that is changing rapidly.
