Our staff are committed to providing excellence to the students and wider community in the South West region. </p><p>We are seeking to employ a highly motivated educational leader with a passion for improving outcomes for our youngest students in a Christian environment. </p><p>In the Junior School there are two Coordinator roles with one leading Infants (P-2) and the other Primary (3-6). In Infants the P-2 Coordinator oversees all grades from Prep to Year 2 with each grade having 4 to 5 classes. The Coordinator plays an important role in advocating for students as they travel through the Prep to Year 2 learning journey and provides a stable presence and consistency for the P-2 staff, families and students. Supporting staff is a key role for the P-2 Coordinator, fostering collegiality, trust and collaboration amongst the teachers and Grade Leaders to nurture excellence in curriculum and wellbeing. </p><p>The successful applicant will be able to lead staff to ensure quality pedagogy and further develop existing literacy and numeracy initiatives under the leadership of the Director of Teaching and Learning. Working with the Director of Operations/Welfare, the Junior School Coordinator P – 2 is responsible for the wellbeing and discipline of students in P-2. The Junior School Coordinator P – 2 will also be required to support and mentor early career teachers in their journey towards gaining Proficient Teacher or Experienced Teacher accreditation. The Coordinator’s role extends to facilitating and organising additional events within the College calendar. </p><p>The Coordinators in the Junior School will have a teaching load determined by the Deputy Principal/Head of Junior School. The teaching load is typically spread across the P-2 grades for approximately 0.50 FTE. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p>The successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria: </p><p>Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible based Christian Church </p><p>Exceptional classroom practice and knowledge of effective management strategies in order to coach and mentor teachers in a P-2 environment </p><p>Experience in building a trusting and collaborative team culture and an ability to empower leaders to grow in their leadership capabilities </p><p>Responding to student learning or welfare needs in P-2 and effectively partnering with families and/or teachers </p><p>Detailed understanding of NESA syllabus requirements and experience with implementing literacy/numeracy programs that promotes a focus on improving student outcomes in P-2. </p><p>Systematic organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks, meet prescribed deadlines and concurrently manage a number of competing responsibilities </p><p><b>Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Appropriate teaching qualifications &amp; accreditation in NSW. </li><li>Accreditation at Experienced Teacher (ISTAA) is an advantage. </li><li>Applications should include: </li><li>Cover application letter </li><li>Completion of Employment Application form available on the College website </li><li>This should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of three confidential referees.
