We are seeking to employ a Director of Operations/Welfare with the ability to develop effective programs related to the daily operations and Welfare components of the Junior School. The role requires a dedicated leader to uphold excellence in our culture of respectful relationships at Thomas Hassall Anglican College. The Director of Operations/Welfare works closely with the teachers, Grade Leaders, Coordinators and College families for best student wellbeing outcomes. The successful applicant will be a lead driver for key strategic plan portfolios and will actively contribute to the ongoing innovation of the College’s processes and practices. </p><p>The Director of Operations/Welfare works alongside the Director of Teaching and Learning and reports to the Deputy Principal and Head of Junior School. The role has a whole College scope including key responsibilities to oversee the Junior School from Prep to Year 6. The Junior School has 4 to 5 classes in each grade from the Prep to Year 6. The role will carry a small teaching load to be determined in consultation with the Deputy Principal and Head of Junior School. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p>The successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria: </p><p>A Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible based Christian Church. </p><p>A strong vision for Welfare in Christian Education with experience embedding outstanding wellbeing practices and programs into school culture resulting in positive outcomes. </p><p>Effectively partnering and communicating with families in welfare and pastoral care matters. </p><p>Proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritise the competing day-to-day organisational tasks in the Junior School. </p><p>Excellent interpersonal and team leading skills enabling you to build trust, collaboration and collegiality with others. </p><p>Personal attributes including self-awareness, agility and high emotional intelligence – a person with genuine concern when navigating a range of challenging situations. </p><p>Demonstrated classroom expertise, enabling you to be a role model, mentor and/or coach in the Junior School, especially for students with behavioural or learning differences. </p><p><b>Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Appropriate teaching qualifications &amp; accreditation in NSW where needed. </li><li>A Master’s Degree or accreditation at Experienced Teacher (ISTAA) is an advantage. </li></ul><p><b>Applications should include: </b></p><ul><li>Cover application letter </li><li>Completion of Employment Application form available on the College website </li><li>This should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of three confidential referees.
