<p><b>About Us </b></p><p>The Diocese of Broken Bay supports 44 primary and secondary schools across Sydney’s North, Northern Beaches and Central Coast and educates over 17,000 students. In 2019 the diocese built the initial framework for secondary schools to link with industry and further education to help students and their families navigate an increasingly variable path to a life beyond school. The diocese now wishes to further develop and expand this program within the North Shore area to create a point of difference across secondary schools in the region. We believe that by creating unique student centric services we are delivering positive experiences that are life changing for all.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>The focus of this role is to engage with groups of students, parents and teaching staff and connect with industry to enable students from years 7 - 12 to understand if and how their interests of today can translate to a pathway during and / or after school. You will be one of four Leaders of Pathways &amp; Partnerships in the diocese and key accountabilities include: </p><ul><li>Organising a broad range of unique Pathways experiences and opportunities for students, from year 7 – 12, by connecting their learning at school to the world of work. </li><li>Looking after two secondary schools within the allocated region. </li><li>Working alongside teaching staff to embed the content and opportunities of the Pathways program into the curriculum delivery. </li><li>Providing schools with connections and partnerships within a variety of industries and local communities. </li><li>Engaging with the teaching, pastoral and careers advisory staff to formulate a collaborative approach to connecting students with opportunities and resources to help them explore workplace options. </li><li>Liaising with career advisers and learning diversity support staff in creating opportunities for students who need alternative pathways during and / or after school. </li><li>Collaborating and building trust with a range of internal and external stakeholders. </li></ul><p>This role reports to the Education Officer – Pathways &amp; Partnerships at Catholic Schools Broken Bay.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>You may have worked as a Group Training Provider, Youth Unemployment Advisor or Career Advisor looking for a change. To be considered for this role you will possess the following skills, attributes and experience: </p><ul><li>Values that align with the ethos of Catholic Education. </li><li>Highly organised and collaborative team player. </li><li>Have established strong networks in a range of commercial settings. </li><li>Can work with groups of students to understand their passions, strengths, values and skills. </li><li>Have worked with young people from diverse backgrounds. </li><li>The ability to work with ambiguity at times and can turn this into clear direction. </li><li>Have confidence to run presentations with large groups of students either face to face or online. </li><li>An active listener and effective communicator with stakeholders of all levels. </li><li>A passion for helping individuals reach their potential and for breaking new ground. </li><li>A leader who is skilled at coaching others and quickly builds strong relationships.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Benefits and Opportunities </b></p><p>If you possess the above skills and attributes, full support and training will be provided to ensure your success in the role.
