<p>Reporting to the Head of Learning Support, your focus will be addressing the needs of students in Junior School (Years K to 6) with learning difficulties and identified special needs. As part of the Learning Support Department, you will be involved in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans and providing Testing Support and Disability Provisions for these students.  Classroom experience is essential and the ability to be flexible in your approach is necessary.  <br /><br />This role has a K-6 focus, so only candidates with relevant Primary and Special Education experience should apply. <br /><br />To be successful in your application for this position you will have:<br />•    Appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditation in NSW and formal qualifications in Special Education<br />•    Experience in developing and evaluating Individual Plans<br />•    Work collaboratively with the Junior School Executive and the Learning Support team<br />•    Willingness to conduct numeracy and literacy interventions with students, working collaboratively with the class teachers<br />•    Use data to drive progress and improve the existing provisions<br />•    Assist the management of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD).<br />•    Experienced learning support teacher who has worked collaboratively with teachers to make ongoing curriculum adjustments to meet individual needs.<br />•    The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary support team<br />•    Competent ICT skills with a strong ability to develop effective and practical Individual Plans for targeted students<br />•    A commitment to the strategic direction and ethos of the School <br /><br />Interested applicants should familiarise themselves with the School’s Strategic Plan ‘Striving for Excellence’, available on our website at www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au.
