<p>The College is seeking an experienced teacher of Stage 4 TAS, Food Technology Stage 5 &amp; Vet Hospitality Commercial Cookery. This position is to commence in 2022.</p><p>You will work alongside a passionate and supportive team committed to achieving positive learning outcomes for each student. More specifically you will:</p><ul><li>Possess exceptional teaching skills and have a sound understanding of the requirements of the curriculum and be teaching both senior and junior classes.</li><li>Work collaboratively and effectively with students, staff and parents.</li><li>Possess a commitment to high expectations for the learning and achievement of all students.</li><li>Demonstrate ongoing personal, professional growth.</li><li>Be able to effectively use technology as part of the curriculum</li><li>Be able to empower students to be independent and creative learners.</li><li>Demonstrate effective classroom management skills</li><li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li><li>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)<br /></li><li>Tertiary Qualification in Education<br /></li><li>Qualifications and experience teaching Food Technology</li><li>Qualifications and ability to teach Hospitality<br /></li><li>Strong ICT skills with the ability and willingness to integrate iPads and other technology into their teaching.<br /></li><li>Strong communication and organisational skills ensuring that reporting deadlines are met.<br /></li><li>Ability to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning.<br /></li><li>Ability to create effective assessment techniques and have the flexibility to differentiate learning activities for students.<br /></li></ul><p>For the VET Coordinator position, the following criteria will also apply:<br /></p><ul><li>As VET Coordinator you will be responsible for developing, revising and evaluating policies according to school, SCS and NESA requirements and guidelines.</li><li>Oversee and complete VET Compliance in accordance to SCS requirements</li><li>Manage EVET and TAFE enrolments </li><li>Organise and manage Work Placement</li><li>Oversee SBATs  </li><li>Mentor new VET teachers and ensure all training requirements are achieved</li><li>Ensuring that relevant perspectives, including numeracy, literacy and the diverse needs of learners are integrated into the planning and delivery of the department</li><li>Modelling a commitment to improved teaching and learning and continuing professional development</li><li>Displaying a highly accomplished approach to professional knowledge, practice and engagement according to the Australian Professional Standard for Teachers</li><li>A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College is an essential condition of employment.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the management of vocational education and training courses within a secondary school environment</li><li>Ability to empathise with students and their circumstances, whilst providing education that addresses their individual learning needs</li><li>Skilled in conflict resolution, analytical thinking, collaborative decision-making and effective time management</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Applicants for this position are asked to ensure the following documentation is submitted by the due date:<br /></p><p>1.
