Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. As a Mathematics Teacher you will be responsible for teaching&nbsp; mathematical content within the classroom as well as drive student learning. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Plan, prepare and deliver quality learning experiences&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintain competency and a current knowledge of relevant curriculum programs</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Drive the learning of young women relating to mathematical concepts</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Create supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing and safety of students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assist students in becoming effective leaders within their community</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents and other stakeholders as required</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Commit to the continual improvement of teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for self and students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Exhibit personal approaches characterised by caring and respect for others.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Strong knowledge base of the subject’s content, how mathematics is learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn mathematics and how the learning of mathematics can be enhanced</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
