<p>Catholic Regional College Sydenham was founded in 1982 as a Catholic senior school for students in the West of Melbourne. It is the largest of its kind in Victoria, specialising in VCE, VCAL and VET studies.</p><p>The role of the Learning Support Officer is to assist and support teachers in delivering enhanced learning outcomes to students. The Learning Support Officer role works closely with the classroom teacher and is supported by the Learning Enhancement Leader of Students with Additional Needs.<br /></p><p>Successful applicants will be able to fulfil the following Additional Requirements:<br /></p><ul><li>Experienced in working with students with special needs;</li><li>Must comply with the CRC Sydenham Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct;</li><li>Must hold a current employee working with children check;</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards for Education, and the NCCD;</li><li>Experienced in assistive technologies that support student learning; and</li><li>A passion for working with students as well as enthusiasm and ability to deliver appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities.</li></ul>
