Our immense and beautiful 40-hectare grounds, state of the art facilities and extra-curricular opportunities has Wollondilly as a high demand destination for families in our greater community. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Secondary Technology Coordinator (TAS) (to commence in 2022) </b></p><p><b>(A Leadership 2 Position</b>) </p><p>This is a Senior Position at the College and the successful applicant would be accountable to the College Headmaster through the Deputy Headmaster and Director of Teaching and Learning 7-12. The successful applicant would be a teacher with teaching experience and qualifications suitable for such a leadership role. It is a diverse role involving supervision of teachers of TAS in a range of TAS subjects such as Textiles and Design, Food Technology, Design and Technology, Engineering Studies, VET Hospitality, Multi-media, Industrial Technology, istem and Mandatory Technology. </p><p>The incumbent should have experience in teaching a range of TAS subjects. They will also have a well-developed understanding of the day-to-day running of the wider Faculty and the organisational roles within it. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Personal skills, attributes and expectations: </b></p><p>It is expected that the Technology Coordinator will: </p><ul><li>Be an active Christian who is involved in a local church </li><li>Be an exemplary teacher </li><li>Foster staff cooperation and commitment </li><li>Exercise leadership with integrity, loyalty and honesty </li><li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Technology syllabuses in Stages 4, 5 and 6 </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of the priorities associated with the National Curriculum including the general capabilities </li><li>Display high levels of organisational and communication skills </li><li>Be committed to collaboration across all levels within the College community </li><li>Be committed to the use of educational technology in the classroom and beyond </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Areas of responsibility: </b></p><ul><li>Leadership of the Technology team including recommendations for staff development and professional learning </li><li>Assume the role of Director of Teaching and Learning 7-12 if required </li><li>Attend Senior Management meetings and College events including some evenings, weekends and non-term time activities as required </li><li>Work with the Director of Teaching and Learning 7-12 in developing the College Educational Framework within the Technology Learning Area </li><li>Develop and advocate for the importance of STEM within the broader College community </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Administration </b></p><ul><li>Coordinate the day-to-day management and leadership of the Technology Faculty </li><li>Preparation and completion of regulatory documentation for the technology subjects, including the management of specific risks associated with technology subjects </li><li>Programming and development of the Technology subjects in line with NESA requirements </li><li>Management of the Technology student reports </li><li>Management of the Technology Budgets and resources </li><li>Management and maintenance of the College ‘Onguard’ safety system used by the staff and students </li><li>Other Teaching and Learning </li><li>Exemplary classroom teaching </li><li>Development and monitoring of the differentiated curriculum for all Technology subject areas </li><li>Co-ordinate and chair faculty meetings </li><li>Overseeing quality assessment practices within the Technology subjects </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Communication </b></p><ul><li>Effective communication of and advocacy for Executive decisions </li><li>Strong personal presence at College community events and staff functions </li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Other </b></p><ul><li>Demonstrate a willingness to attend expected College events </li><li>Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to co-curricular College activities.
