<p>Tatachilla Lutheran College is an R-12 coeducational school, located in McLaren Vale on the southern fringe of Adelaide, South Australia. </p><p>The College was established in 1995 and has a current enrolment of more than 1,110 students. The College is an R-12 campus located on 70 beautiful acres set amongst the McLaren Vale vineyards. The Junior School comprises Reception to Year 6, Middle School comprises Year 7 to Year 9 and Senior School comprises Year 10 to Year 12. Each has its own specialist facilities. The day to day management of the sub-schools is the responsibility of the Heads of School (Head of Junior Years and Head of Middle/Senior Years) who are in turn responsible to the Deputy Principal and Principal. The College provides a comprehensive and rigorous academic curriculum, with a particular focus on teaching and learning, wellbeing and service learning. Pastoral care, built on Christian foundations, is integral to College life. </p><p>Following a recent review of the structure, Tatachilla Lutheran College is now recruiting for the newly established role of Deputy Principal (Reception to Year 12) to commence in January 2022. This role is a contract position for the duration of 5 years with the potential for extension.</p><p>Reporting to the Principal, the Deputy Principal is responsible for all matters related to the day to day operation of the College under the oversight of the Principal. The Deputy Principal will be responsible for promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to deliver high quality teaching and achieve successful outcomes for students. The Deputy Principal will work closely with teams ensuring a whole of school approach to learning, teaching and wellbeing. A key aspect of the role is to lead the professional growth and review of staff. In the absence of the Principal they will assume leadership of the College under the auspices of the College Board Chair. </p><p>The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian church. </p><p>This is a senior leadership position and as such, the successful candidate will have an Executive role in the College and is required to lead an experienced team including the Head of Junior Years, Head of Middle and Senior Years and the Director of Teaching and Learning R-12.
