ELC/OSHC Director

<p>The Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Director leads, implements, monitors and assesses learning with the learners aligned with Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place Framework, National Quality Standards and the school values, vision, mission and service philosophy.</p><p>Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p><p>1. Engage in and support the sacramental, liturgical, ritual and prayer life of the service; </p><p>2. Responsible for and coordinate the overall management and administration of both services including but not limited to implementing school and service policies and procedures, including Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place Framework (MTOP) and National Quality Standards (NQS) whilst adhering to all relevant regulations and statutory requirements including ensure that both services meet or exceeds quality assurance requirements; </p><p>3. Take responsibility for the day to day management of both services, responsible for management and compliance with National Law and Regulations; </p><p>4. Coordinate and supervise the direct activities of employees in the implementation and evaluation of the educational and developmentally appropriate programs for children in both services whilst providing a safe and stimulating environment that meets the social, cultural, educational and physical needs of the children; </p><p>5. Lead Team Leaders and members to implement and assess quality developmentally and educational programs for each child that is based on the children’s strengths and interests; </p><p>6. Maintain a professional approach to work, which reflects the School/College philosophy, policies and procedures and ensures confidentiality in all aspects of its operations; </p><p>7. Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the service, the School, parents and community; </p><p>8. Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm in fulfilling the role including a commitment to ongoing self and technical development and actively support the work of colleagues within the School staff/team;  and,</p><p>9. Actively contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the School/College whilst providing professional leadership and development to all staff.</p><p>Essential Criteria:</p><p>1. Have a commitment to uphold and contribute to the ethos of Catholic schools; </p><p>2. Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education; </p><p>3. Hold a current NT Working with Children Card; </p><p>4. Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate;</p><p>6. Demonstrated leadership experience in an early years setting; </p><p>7. Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff including encouraging parental participation; </p><p>8. Understanding of and ability to apply knowledge of the compliance requirements based on Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Service National Regulations including a working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place Framework (MTOP) and the National Quality Standards; </p><p>9. Be responsible in working collaboratively with the Principal in the implementation and evaluation of quality programs for each child that is based on the children’s strengths and interests; </p><p>10. Proficiency to lead a stimulating environment that meets the social, cultural, educational and physical needs of the children; and, </p><p>11.
