It lies on the Castlereagh Highway north-west of Gilgandra. It is the regional hub for wheat growing and sheep and wool. The name for the town is taken from the Gamilaraay word guna and -bil.</p> <p>Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is responsible for 33 schools, approximately 9,300 students and 1,200 staff in the delivery of high-quality Catholic education.</p> <p>This is an identified position ie this position is open to people of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.</p> <p>Applications are invited for the above position from persons who demonstrate a sincere commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.</p> <p><strong>Please ensure the following criteria are addressed in your application.</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Provide confirmation of Aboriginal &amp;/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of and sincere commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education, including the values of social justice, equity and reconciliation.</li> <li>Demonstrate an appropriate level of skill in literacy and numeracy especially as it relates to assisting students.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to cater for the needs of Aboriginal &amp; Torres Strait Islander students.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of educational issues that affect Aboriginal &amp; Torres Strait Islander students.</li> <li>Demonstrated links with the local Aboriginal community.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to promote and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions and culture within the whole school community</li> </ul> <p><strong>Closing date:</strong> 6 August 2021</p> <p><em>We are in the country of the Wiradjuri, Gamilaraay and Wailwan peoples.
