A new Pre-School to Year 12 Diocesan College in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of approximately 1067 pupils.

<p>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing P-12 school with a student population exceeding 1000 students for 2021 in Years K–11. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8) and Senior Years Learning (9-12).</p> <p>A temporary part time position commencing 12 July 2021 until 17 December 2021.&nbsp; This is a Junior Years (K-4) PPT release role (working Wednesday-Friday).</p> <p>The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.</li> <li>Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with <strong>To Work, Teach and Lead</strong> policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 2 July 2021 at 3pm</strong></p>
