St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School is located in Armstrong Creek. Our learning journey commenced in 2020 with students from P-5 and we have continued to create a welcoming and engaging school of learners P-6 in 2021. We are committed to providing quality education within a Catholic school context and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care

<p>We are seeking suitably qualified, highly motivated and dynamic Classroom Teachers/s to form part of our staff team for 2022. </p><p>The successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children. The position/s will commence in Term One, 2022. </p><p>Both fixed term and ongoing positions are available</p><p><b>Role Description</b></p><p>St Catherine of Siena Primary School is a collaborative, vibrant and dynamic Catholic school and we warmly welcome interest and applications from experienced teachers as well as graduates and encourage staff of the highest calibre to join our staff team.</p><p><b>We are in search of teachers who are committed to: </b></p><ul><li> Nurturing a faith community within a Catholic context. </li><li> The safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.  </li><li>Providing students with a rich and rewarding educational experience. </li><li>Delivering learning that is developmentally appropriate, promotes learning in a contemporary context and differentiates accordingly.</li><li>Working collaboratively with staff to build a culture of fairness, empowerment and excellence. </li><li> Developing leadership capabilities and a willingness to contribute to professional learning. </li><li> Understanding the content of the curriculum and creative learning approaches that engage students, enhancing and enabling each child to learn. </li><li> Developing positive, meaningful and committed relationships with students, staff and the wider school community. </li><li>Using purposeful assessment that provides data to drive and plan further teaching  <br /></li><li> Providing structures that engage and empowers each student, in order to develop confident, independent and resilient learners.  </li><li>Explicitly stating the purpose and intention of learning </li><li>Encouraging students to develop the skills to be self-responsible learners </li><li> Supporting the school community to develop and nurture a culture of welcome and inclusion.  </li><li> Work effectively with other professionals, parents/guardians and members of the broader community to provide effective learning for students. </li></ul><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>Please elaborate on your experience and strengths in the following areas: </p><p><b>1) The successful applicant will: </b></p><ul><li>have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education </li><li>have a demonstrated commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children </li><li>demonstrate successful approaches to student wellbeing in the classroom and school community. </li></ul><p><b>2) The successful applicant will: </b></p><ul><li><b> </b>possess the skills and abilities necessary to engage and empower students with a rich and rewarding educational experience. </li><li> create, build and embrace a positive collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning </li></ul><p><b>3) The successful candidate will: </b></p><ul><li><b> </b>be appropriately qualified and hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration. </li><li>demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, using high impact teaching strategies, including the use of data and feedback to enable and enhance student learning. </li><li>demonstrate the development of positive partnerships with parents and the wider community. </li></ul><p><b>4) The successful applicants will </b></p><ul><li>have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation.</li></ul>
