Merici College is an IB World School, authorized to offer the Diploma Program (Years 11-12) and in the process of candidacy for the Middle Years Program (Year 7-10).<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are currently seeking a <strong>Finance Officer</strong>&nbsp;to join our inclusive team.&nbsp;Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Finance Officer (FO) role is primarily concerned with processing and follow-up of all College creditors including all aspects of their financial and administrative housekeeping – as well as other general and sundry financial duties.</p> <p>The FO will assist the Business Manager in efficient running of the College and maintain the College Receipting, General Ledger, School Fees/Sundry Debtors and Accounts Payable systems by performing the following duties <br><br><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Respect of and a commitment to the College’s Catholic ethos and a willingness to foster it in the College Community.<br><br></li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including empathy, good listening skills and the ability to negotiate and liaise with parents, staff or students.<br><br></li> <li>Relevant qualifications and/or experience and a willingness to undertake professional development.<br><br></li> <li>The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to exercise discretion and sound judgement.&nbsp;<br><br></li> <li>Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and use initiative.<br><br></li> <li>Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively, within a busy environment.<br><br></li> <li>The ability to use a level of technology appropriate to the position and/or a willingness to learn other position specific software and highly developed attention to detail.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br></em><br><em><br></em><strong>Application Process<br><br></strong>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.<br><br>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the Position Description.<br><br>This position involves working with children.
